Outdoor summer Yoga afternoons in Suffolk

Hosted by

  • 2 to 5.15 pm
  • Cafe Como, Street Farm, The Street, Brent Eleigh, Suffolk CO10 9NU

Rebalance. Renew. Relax.

Give your body and mind a treat by joining me and fellow British Wheel of Yoga teacher Holly Bedford for an afternoon of outdoor Yoga practice, meditation and relaxation.

Whether you are a new or experienced student of Yoga, everyone is welcome at our mini-retreats in the beautiful grounds of Cafe Como, Brent Eleigh, Suffolk.

We’ll be exploring postures, breathwork, meditation and relaxation practices to help you experience the holistic body and mind benefits of Yoga, enabling you to move towards stillness.

Our serene, outdoor setting further enhances wellbeing, with time spent in green spaces known to reduce stress, increase energy and improve mood. Gazebos will be available if required for either shade or shelter.

Light refreshments are included, and you’ll have the opportunity to talk to us about establishing your own home practice of daily mindfulness to improve wellbeing.

Each of our three afternoons is themed around a different aspect of Yoga philosophy. Come for as many afternoons as you want; you can book one, two or all three using the booking link below.

Your teachers

Holly Bedford is a mum, school teacher and British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher. She’s been practicing Yoga for over 20 years and teaching Yoga for over 10. During that time, her style has evolved from purely Hatha to incorporate many styles of Yoga and movement. She says, “Basically, I take the best bits from different styles of Yoga to tailor each class to my students’ goals and preferences.”

Holly leading practice at our July 2021 mini-retreat

One of Holly’s strengths is the ability to vary her offering on the spot. Whether you’re a long-term Yogi or a newbie, Holly will welcome you with all the support and guidance you need. She aims to teach with joy, understanding, compassion and dedication.

Holly believes that strength, balance and flexibility are key not just in a Yoga practice, but also in everyday life. It all helps to keep our joints supple, to nurture our mental wellbeing and to increase our resilience for coping with change. As she likes to quote from Charles Darwin: “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

Catherine Rolfe is a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher who teaches Hatha style classes with an inclusive staged approach. She encourages students to balance effort and ease in their practice, knowing that without challenge there can be no change.

She is dedicated to being a lifelong student of Yoga and has recently completed mindfulness meditation teacher training with the renowned Cyndi Lee.

Adverse weather, cancellation and refund policies

We are dedicated to this open air Yoga experience; we believe the benefits of practicing outdoors definitely outweigh any cons. However if the weather is really horrible, or in the case of teacher illness/requirement to self-isolate, you will receive an email from us on the morning of the retreat and a full refund via BACS. If it’s just raining and a bit cool, bring some layers, we’re still on!

How to book your place

Spaces are limited so that we can ensure a group size where we can give you the attention and individual feedback needed to develop your practice.

Student health questionnaire

In accordance with BWY best practice, Holly and I ask that all students complete a health questionnaire prior to attending their first afternoon with us.  This ensures that we are aware of any particular conditions which may need special attention and/or modifications during your practice.

The current health questionnaire can be downloaded here, to be completed and returned via catherinerolfeyoga@gmail.com
